With a vast record in the field of gender reassignment procedures, THE INSTITUTE OF CHANGE is now against surgical methods and medical interventions. The clinic provides sexual reeducation, hormone treatment and gender processing through new interventions: total stage exposure, dance, gender performance, lip synch, cross dressing etc. The presentation events of THE INSTITUTE OF CHANGE are not just simple shows with an audience, but social platforms with a dynamic and entertainment aspect regarding the body, its sex and changing the world in general.

Paul Dunca – a queer body activist – was born in Bucharest, where he continues to live and work. After graduating from the “I.L. Caragiale” National Theatre University, he tried to never say “NO”. This is why his work is so eclectic, including the most diverse forms of expression: working as a waiter, on his own MTV show, community art and go-go, performing for Romania in the Vennice Art Biennial, to various contributions to glossy magazines and acting in local films and performances at the National Centre for Dance in Bucharest, as well as on the stage of Judson Church, New York.
