Five men on stage perform military exercises incessantly. A "Full Metal Jacket" fuelled piece, "Homo Furens" interrogates the way we look at movement, whether it aims at choreographic or combat purposes. As exhaustion and repetition grow, their moves will lead you towards a sense of peace.
Filipe Lourenço is a French choreographer who started his career in 1988 with the El Albaycin orchestra. In 1997 he attended the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine d’Angers (CNDC). Since then he has collaborated with choreographers such as Patrick le Doaré, Catherine Diverrès, Georges Appaix, Joëlle Bouvier, Michèle Noiret, Nasser Martin-Gousset, Christian Rizzo and Boris Charmatz.
