“Your touch is tender and exciting. We join in an amorous embrace, but are enveloped in a maddening solitude. We wish to appear and to be together, to see and to be seen, to reveal and be revealed. Before we part forever, let's meet up again, just one last time.”

After learning classical ballet, gymnastics on the apparatus, jazz and modern dance in Hungary and in Vienna, Ladjánszki Márta cofounded KOMPmANIA Contemporary Dance Theatre at the end of 1996. Until 2002 she has worked there as dancer and co-creator and she had her own works beside that group mainly in Hungarian projects. She started her solo career and won several prizes, too. In 2001 she was invited to join the L1 Association, which was founded by seven dancers/creators in Budapest.

She recently started to collaborate with independent artists and create group pieces as well. Her interest is the body and its physical limits and combining music with choreography, using live music as well.

Márta is working as organiser and main programmer of L1danceFest in Budapest. The festival takes place since 2002. In the first years, the aim of the festival was to represent the works of L1 Independent Dancers' Partnership but in the past few years their focus turned to inviting international and national guests. From 2011 the partnership changed its name and membership, and it is now called L1 Independent Artists Association of Public Utility (NGO), with Márta as the artistic leader.
