Bucharest. Human Installation is an original mixture that combines theatre, movement, video installation and music to convey a critical image of today's Bucharest. The public is witness to a manifesto of the new generation of artists, frontal and politically engaged, that provides a new perspective on the spirit and boundless energy of the Capital. Starting with personal stories, history or poetry books, meetings with people from communities representative of Bucharest, the show's team has created a sequential text, that captures the city with its potholes and crowded streets, but also as the place that sometimes reveals magic spaces.

Founded in 1996 as a public cultural service, ARCUB - the Cultural Centre of Bucharest Municipality is the only institution of its kind in Romania, linking the local authorities with the civil society. Because ARCUB is under the authority of the General Council of Bucharest Municipality, the cultural projects it initiates have an important social and educational component.
ARCUB promotes the culture of Bucharest in all its forms of artistic expression, fueling a constant dialogue between institutionalised culture and experimental culture, between the past and the present.

"At turns rough and suggestive, comical or direct-provocative, their interrogations tackle a lot of the touchy subjects - often shrouded in hypocritical silence - of the active Bucharest dweller. The one who looks just like you or me, whose actions and lack thereof have directly resulted in the way the city looks like today." - Mihai Brezeanu, Scena9
