eXplore dance festival :: Voice Over >> Saturday, October 9th, 19h00, Round Hall

The piece “Voice Over” explores possible relationships between movement and voice and the idea of body as a Moebius strip where concepts like interior and exterior or cause and effect become unstable categorizations. The performer is engaged in more or less parallel activities producing a ‘schizophrenic’ or composite state and performing mode where a multitude of intentions are in constant negotiation. The body of the performer becomes the site of cross-fertilized expressions and an interstice of intensities.

After completing her classical dance education at the National Academy for Dance in Budapest, Eszter Salomon moved to France in 1992, where she began working with various choreographers. She has been creating solo and group pieces, which have been shown at various international festivals since 2001. Eszter Salamon defines dance as the organisation and production of knowledge, the denial of explicit, the fragmentation of time and space – and at the same time, a critical contemplation of the process of artistic production.
