Excerpts of confusion >> Sunday, November 22nd ,19:00h, Round Hall

Excerpts of confusion pictures a desire for an invisible world. The confrontation with very personal internal images create a starting point for action.
An invisible space is to be made visible: an imaginative, a confusing, a dream space.
Reflection about consciousness as something that determines reality becomes the motive within this work.
Baroque landscapes appear and disappear and make us emerge into a phantasmagoric world.
There are endless new realities beyond the physical and visible world that seems so familiar to us.

Fanni Futterknecht works as a performer and visual artist in Vienna, Paris and Amsterdam.
She started her artistic work with video installations, where she focused especially on the body and its surrounding space within the staged moving images. Her work has evolved from performative interventions in public space to performances that are constructed for a traditional theatre context. In 2006 she joined the programme Essai at the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine in Angers, a programme for young artists from different artistic disciplines, exploring new ways of dance and performance making. During that summer she had been part of the Danceweb Europe programme in Vienna.
In Spring 2008 she received a residency grant for a three months residency in Rome where she pursued her choreographic as well as her visual work. After her stay in Rome she has been artist in residence at La Cite International des Arts in Paris for half a year. There she had developed her last solo performance “excerpts of confusion” which had been shown at the Imagetanz festival 09 in Vienna.
She is now working on a new performance project “ Where life has no value, death sometimes has its price” in collaboration with Florin Flueras.

>> After the performance, at 20:00h, we invite you to a discussion with the artists from the project Cooperativa performativă.
