trenSformers days >> December 6 to 12th, Mediatheque

For 6 days, the mediatheque will function as a laboratory of re-exploration in the two directions of the project: the regional differences (Cluj – Bucharest) and the train journey. For those in-between destinations, the space will be transformed into a fulltime waiting hall.

The Waiting Hall is open around the clock, from 6th to 12th of December.


Sunday December 6th – 20:30h
The opening of the Waiting Hall. Active presentation of the trenSformers project.

Monday December 7th  - 19.00h
Primary school – story-circle in the waiting hall – each participant is invited to contribute with a story about/from the train.

Tuesday December 8th - 19.00h

Discussion with the sociologist Puiu Lăţea on the subject of regional differences.

Wednesday December 9th – 20.00h
“The easy train “– collective performance

Thursday December 10th – film, 20:30h
Film projection - “REVELION 2008”, followed by a discussion with the authors.
[“Vlad Petri and Mădălina Roşca get on board trains on New Year's Eve. The film is the story of a journey, from day to night, in the north-east of the country. People, music, fireworks, New Year... in the train.”]

Friday December 11th - 19.00h
Discussion with the anthropologists Şerban Anghelescu and Ana Chiriţoiu.

Saturday December 12th – 19.00h
The closing of the Waiting Hall. Theater workshop based on the archive of stories from/about the train. Participants: Monica Marinescu, Lala Misosniky, Sorin Poamă.
