Like CNDB 2018 Afterparty
LIKE CNDB ends, as it does every year, with a mega party. This year Al’iikhwa Ra brings the musical delights. Friday, 27th April, from 22.00 h, right after the Performative Answers, we look forward to having you with us at the Stere Popescu Hall, on 80-82 Mărășești Boulevard to enjoy a sensory treat.
Al’iikhwa Ra [alicva ra] appeared in 2016, from the initiative of artists Andrei Raicu and Alexandros Raptis, passionate creators of electronic music with world music, techno, free jazz, soundscapes, filmscore, noise and folklore influences.
After working as sound designers for shows (“Sclavi”, directed by Theodor Cristian Popescu, “Kinderzimmerzauberei”, directed by Leta Popescu, “Supercalifragilistically Normal”, choreographic concept Georgeta Corca, “Looking for Shakespeare”, directed by Radu Alexandru Nica) and after collaborations with cultural institutions such as The National Centre for Dance Bucharest, ARCUB, ColectivA and The Paint Brush Factory, Alexandros Raptis and Andrei Raicu decided that the exaggerated interest for glitches, bleeps, buttons, coloured cables, modular synthesizers, established structures and do it yourself education are enough for their pieces to be made public.
Vlad Lăzărescu, with a five years’ experience as a video artist, light designer and film director, joins the two and completes the atmosphere with video materials in a novel and experimental manner.
