CNDB Domol with Muzeul Subiectiv al Locuirii (The Subjective Museum of Housing)
After dancing with the Vagenta agents on August 27, we continue the CNDB Domol (Slow CNDB) series with this summer's episode 5, where we'll have our first ever guest show.
The show in question is Muzeul Subiectiv al Locuirii (The Subjective Museum of Housing), one of this year's essential performances, which starts at 7 PM and presents the stories of seven women from the Rahova-Uranus and Vulturilor 50 neighbourhoods about their experience of the forced evacuations organised by the local authorities in their communities.
After the show and a Q&A session, the protagonists - Elena Radu, Nicoleta Vișan, Cornelia Ioniță, Claudia Moldoveanu, Alexandrina Fieraru, Cristina Eremia and Gabriela Dumitru - will make you dance in the Stere Popescu Hall foyer and yard with their special playlist!
The Subjective Museum of Housing opens its first wing for the public; it is dedicated to preserving the stories of the women from the Rahova-Uranus and Vulturilor 50 neighbourhoods.
The 6 image collection that can be explored dates from the 2006-2016 interval and has been brought into our museum in 2017. The images are real slices of life and they will be presented for the exhibit by seven women from the two neighbourhoods.
We present these stories and personal perspectives of the women from Rahova-Uranus and Vulturilor 50 in a context in which their status, although public, is little known among Bucharest's inhabitants. What has happened and continues to happen in the two neighbourhoods in the past 11 years is part of Bucharest's history, which you can explore in our museum through a different method of exposure: that of the image theatre.
Our museum is opening this wing for you because true change can only come through solidarity and self-organising.

The ”CNDB, state institution” project, initiated last summer by Andreea David, was born from the need to generate a common space for the choreographic community, other artists, CNDB’s public and the neighbourhood’s residents, a public space meant to host meetings, debates, interventions, choreographic practices and also dance and movement exercises, parties, concerts and many other events, under the slogan ”CNDB, with INTENSIVELY open doors”.
Last summer’s CNDB Domol events saw artists and cultural managers such as Chlorys, Cosima von Bülove, Eugen Rădescu and Ligia Keșișian Mitulescu, Adrian Mușat (Dosch Lazy), Andrei Grigore and Eugen Neluțescu play their musical selections in CNDB’s yard.
