The International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts (IETM) Bucharest Plenary Meeting 2017

20 April 2017 to 23 April 2017

More than 400 performing arts professionals are expected at the event to engage in a collective reflection on the position of the artist in contemporary society and to build closer relations with international partners. The artistic programme is a snapshot of the brightest highlights of the Romanian contemporary performing arts scene.


Confirmed international speakers and moderators include Marie Le Sourd (On the Move), Yohann Floch (Fresh Arts Coalition Europe), Delphine Hesters (Flanders Arts Institute, Belgium), Joris Weijdom (HKU University of the Arts Utrecht), Bradley Allen (Creative Europe Desk Denmark), Israel Aloni (IlDance, Sweden), Vijay Mathew (HowlRound, US), and more. Both members of IETM and non-member participants are welcome to attend the meeting, following their online registration.


The International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts (IETM) Spring Plenary Meeting is organised by IETM and the National Centre for Dance in Bucharest(CNDB), in partnership with the Romanian Association of Theatre Artists (UNITER), The I.L. Caragiale National Theatre of Bucharest and Metropolis Theatre. The event is co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, and it also has the financial support of the Administration of the National Cultural Fund.
