ICR and the Camaro Foundation organise a concert within the Tribute to Iris Barbura exihibition
The pianist Michael Abramovich and the dancer and choreographer Maria Giambona, from Staatsballett Berlin, will perform on July 10, 2017 at the Camaro Haus in Berlin, within the Tribute to Iris Barbura exhibition, organised by CNDB and the Alexander and Renata Camaro Foundation.
The Romanian Cultural Institute in collaboration with the Alexander and Renata Camaro Foundation present this special concert as part of the event series dedicated to the Romanian avant-garde choreographer Iris Barbura, in Bucharest and Berlin.
The series included the Tribute to Iris Barbura and Iris shows, presented at CNDB’s Stere Popescu Hall and the Camaro Haus in Berlin, in April. The Tribute to Iris Barbura presentation in Berlin and the editing of the eponymous book, co-edited by CNDB and the Deutsches Tanzarchiv in Köln (authors: Corina Cimpoieru, Agnes Kern and Igor Mocanu) were supported by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Bucharest and the Rumänisches Kulturinstitut in Berlin.
This wide-ranging transdisciplinary project inspired by the choreographer Iris Barbura is part of the process of revisiting and regenerating Romanian dance history started by CNDB’s department of Research.
