On December 10th, five groups of visitors will be shown around the Omnia Hall; the tours will start at 12.00, 01.00, 02.00, 03.00 and 04.00 p.m.. Maggie Chițoran (tel. no.: 0746 099 942) and Corina Cimpoieru (tel. no.: 0758 101 941) will be the contact persons for booking and further information on the tours.
The Omnia Hall is located inside the building at Piaţa Revoluţiei, no. 1, and has been placed under CNDB’s management by a Government Decision in September 8th 2016. CNDB will be able to use the Omnia Hall starting with the first half of 2019, after its restoration and refurbishment. The hall is an immovable property of the state, formerly administered by the National Opera in Bucharest, functioning as a warehouse for theatrical props and scenery. The building has formerly housed the Central Committee of the Romanian Communist Party, then, on passing under the management of the Ministry of Administration and Interior, it became the Romanian Senate’s headquarters. In 2013, the Ministry of Culture has assumed responsibility for its administration and granted it for use to the National Operetta Theatre Ion Dacian until the 2016 Government Decision.
