Contact Bucharest – 2nd International Contact Improvisation Festival - “Performing myself”

This international dance and movement improvisation event is focused on learning, practicing and in-depth exploring of Contact Improvisation.

5 trainers, who dance, teach and research this dance form all around the world, will teach 5 intensive classes (14 hour-long ) and then perform in a final event: Adrian Russi (Switzerland), Susanne Martin (Germany), Stephen Batts (Ireland), Alexandra Soshnicova and Sergey Golovnea (Moldavia). Other teachers will be present as well,  as honoured guests and speakers and will be hosting discussions and movement laboratories: Elisa Ghion (Italy), Alon Klein (Israel), Valentina de Piante (Romania).

Through its courses that target different levels of experience, the festival is addressed to professionals of the performing arts (dancers, actors, acrobats), somatic therapy facilitators as well as beginners.

Participants will sign up beforehand and choose which teachers they will be working with for the 28 hours they can book in the festival programme (some of the classes will be taking place simultaneously, in different rooms). Artists from Denmark, Germany, Spain, Belarus, Lithuania, Moldavia, Turkey, China and Romania have already joined the participant list.
